Preparations have begun for a trilateral summit involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Shenzhen on November 18–19, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov has said.
Axar.az reports, citing Kyiv Post, that Ushakov said Moscow, Washington and Beijing were in principle ready to hold the meeting.
He also described a potential meeting between Russian, US and Ukrainian delegations in November as exploratory, saying it would have a “range-finding character.”
Ushakov added that Russia had received an invitation to the G20 summit in Miami in December, but Putin’s attendance would depend on the outcome of the November meetings in China.
