Russia rules out inviting Europeans to Ukraine talks

Russia has no plans to invite European representatives to the negotiating table for the upcoming trilateral talks on Ukraine involving Russia, the United States and Ukraine, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov has said.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that Ushakov added that European participation in the negotiations was not discussed during recent telephone conversations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

“They could get there if they buy tickets, but no one intends to invite them to the negotiating table,” Ushakov said.

Meanwhile, Ushakov said the date for the next round of trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi would be announced soon. Although discussions had referred to mid-November, around November 10, no exact date had been set.
