Qatar denies interfering in Israeli elections

Qatar has categorically denied allegations that it interfered in Israel’s elections or funded activities intended to influence their outcome.

Axar.az reports that, in a post on X, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said the accusations made by some Israeli politicians and media figures were part of a disinformation campaign aimed at dragging Qatar into Israel’s domestic political disputes.

It should be noted that after 97.5% of the ballots had been counted, Netanyahu’s bloc had secured 53 seats, the Eisenkot bloc 48, and Arab parties 19. None of the blocs had obtained the 61 seats required to form a government.

Netanyahu’s bloc accused Qatar and Turkiye of interfering in Israel’s elections and called on the Central Elections Committee to investigate. The committee subsequently instructed the country’s intelligence agencies to conduct an investigation.
