Qatari LNG carrier hit by unidentified objects in Gulf

A Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, Al Mayeda, was hit by unidentified objects while transiting the Gulf.

Axar.az reports, citing Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat), that none of the crew members were injured and the incident caused no environmental damage.

The company said the vessel remained safe and operational, while the extent of the damage was being assessed.

Nakilat added that it was in direct contact with the vessel, its crew, and regional maritime security authorities to ensure their safety and monitor the situation.
