Elon Musk jokes about GOP election defeat

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has joked about Republicans' defeat in the US midterm elections, after spending hundreds of millions of dollars to support the party.

Axar.az reports that, according to preliminary results, Democrats have gained control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives in the midterm elections.

"Guess my election-interfering space lasers didn't work this time," Musk wrote on X.

Musk contributed nearly half a billion dollars to Republican political efforts, making him the largest individual donor in a single federal election cycle.
