Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary, Mohsen Rezaei, has claimed that Iran inflicted a political defeat on US President Donald Trump following the conflict between the two countries.

Axar.az reports that, in a post on X, Rezaei said the Iranian nation defeated Trump on the battlefield and in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as a political defeat in Washington.

“The Iranian nation handed Trump a strategic defeat on the battlefield and in the Hormuz—and a POLITICAL DEFEAT in Washington. Meanwhile, Americans got stuck with the bill for his war,” he wrote.

"Anyone who takes on Iran will pay the price—from the battlefield to their own doorstep," he added.
