Moscow square to be named after Uzbek leader

Moscow authorities plan to name a square in the center of the city after the late Uzbek President Islam Karimov, the city hall’s website said.

The idea to name the square, located near the Uzbek consulate, in honor of Karimov came from Russian and Uzbek politicians.
