There will be no revolutions in Russia’s Economic Development Ministry, though the formation of new departments and staff changes are possible, the First Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said, introducing new Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin to the ministry staff in Moscow.

"Take it easy if a new staff schedule, new departments and (staff) changes are announced (in the Economic Development Ministry). There will be no fever, no revolutions," TASS cited him as saying.

Shuvalov also said that the consolidation of Russia’s Finance Ministry and Economic Development Ministry is not going to happen.

"Many questions are being asked whether this configuration, meaning the consolidation with the Finance Ministry, is possible. The answer is no. A decision has been made that the Economic Development Ministry will continue its work as it is, fully in accordance with its authorities, and this appointment means that the Ministry will focus on economic development factors," he said.
