Mexico legalizes marijuana

The Mexican Senate overwhelmingly approved on Tuesday the use of marijuana for medical purposes.

"The decision regarding the regulation and use of marijuana was approved with 81 votes in favor and two against," the Senate said on its Twitter page.

The lower Chamber of Deputies is now expected to consider this issue.
