At least four PKK terrorists were killed in an air raid as part of the ongoing anti-terror operations in eastern and southeastern Turkey, according to the Turkish military on Tuesday.

The air operation was conducted in eastern Bingol province's Genc district, and southeastern Diyarbakir province's Lice district, the Turkish General Staff said.

The security forces also seized several weapons, 36 pistol cartridges, 350 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, and various equipment used in making improvised explosives along with 135 kilograms of marijuana, the statement added.

The operations also led to the arrest of one person, suspected of aiding and abetting the PKK.

More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
