US co-chair: There are ways to solve Karabakh conflict

There is an international approach that the Nagorno Karabakh problem differs from other conflicts in the post-Soviet space, U.S. Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Richard Hoagland said at a press conference on March 11 in Baku.

Axar.az reports that he said there are ways to solve this long-standing conflict. Hoagland didn’t comment on the issue of increasing the number of observers on the frontline but noted that proposals on confidence building were made in St. Petersburg and Vienna meetings.

The diplomat added that both sides must reconsider the options for increasing confidence.
