Turkish jets destroy 16 PKK targets in northern Iraq

Turkish Armed Forces jets hit 16 PKK targets in northern Iraq and in the southeastern Hakkari province of Turkey on Friday, according to the military.

Axar.az reports military sources said that an aerial operation in the area was carried out between 02:56 p.m. and 19:54 p.m. local time in the Avashin-Basyan, Metina, Zap and Qandil Mountains region of Iraq, adding that the 16 targets were destroyed completely and the jets returned to their bases in safety.

Separately, three PKK terrorists were killed during ongoing air operations in northern Iraq Friday in an operation in northern Iraq's Zap area.
