The 47-year-old First Lady attended a reception at the Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C. to honour President Abraham Lincoln’s legacy with her husband US President Donald Trump.
Axar.az reports citing Daily Express.
The nude-coloured floor-length satin gown she wore was by Filipino designer Monique Lhuiller and featured cap sleeves and a cinched in waist.
The material clung to Melania’s hips and legs, and she finished off the look with a pair of matching colour stilettos.
While Melania was lucky it didn’t rain, she did have to hold the dress up everywhere she went to avoid it dragging on the ground.
President Trump wore a tuxedo to the event, while First Daughter Ivanka wore a $5,500 J Mendel red gown, with a lace inset covering the chest and shoulders.
The gala has been described as President Trump’s “debut on Washington’s social circuit”.
The annual event raises money for Ford’s Theatre, the historic venue where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
President Trump also commented on the vehicle and knife attack that killed at least seven people in London at the event.
He said: “America sends our thoughts and prayers and our deepest sympathies to the victims of this evil slaughter and we renew our resolve, stronger than ever before, to protect the United States and its allies from a vile enemy that has wages war on innocent life, and it’s gone on too long.”
Melania last opted to wear nude when she visited a Brussels hospital during her husband’s inaugural foreign tour.
She wore a nude fitted suit as she arrived at the Queen Fabiola Children’s University hospital in Brussels, Belgium on May 25.
The belted suit was paired with gold stilettos and a matching manicure.
