Trump designates N Korea as state sponsor of terrorism

As the North Korean crisis shows no signs of abating, US President Donald Trump has announced new restrictive measures against Pyongyang.

Axar.az reports citing sputniknews.com that speaking at the start of a cabinet meeting at the White House on Monday, Trump said the US Treasury Department will start announcing additional major sanctions against North Korea on Tuesday.

"It will be the highest level of sanctions by the time it is finished over a two week period," he added.

At the same time, White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders took to Twitter on Monday to say that Trump had also designated The DPRK as a state sponsor of terrorism.
