Two separate courts in Turkey remanded on Friday four suspects for their alleged links to the Daesh terror group, according to judicial sources.

Axar.az reports citing AA.

In the northwestern Kocaeli province, the court remanded a 22-year-old Syrian national, identified by his initials A.A.H., in custody, said a source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.

The suspect is thought to be a media representative for the terror group.

Another three suspects were remanded in custody in the southern Mersin province.

Separately, an Iraqi national, whose initials are N.H.F.A.T., was arrested in Samsun, a northern Black Sea region province, for suspected links to Daesh, according to a police source.

Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to thwart Daesh attacks.

More than 300 people lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
