Military helicopter crashes in residential area in Japan

The reason for the crash hasn't been immediately clear.

A Japanese military Apache helicopter has crashed in a residential area in Saga, southern Japan, setting at least one house on fire, NHK broadcaster reported Monday.

"A Self-Defence Force helicopter crash-landed on a residential area. A house has caught fire," local government official Katsuhide Tanaka told AFP news agency.

The reason for the crash, as well as possible casualties, haven't been reported yet.
