Pope Francis to visit Azerbaijan in September

The Pope will visit Azerbaijan and Georgia on 30 September to 2 October.

Ordinary of the Apostolic Prefecture of the Roman Catholic Church in Azerbaijan Vladimir Fekete told journalists.


"In mid-May the Vatican delegation arrives in Azerbaijan to specify the program of visit," - he said.

According to him, during the visit of the delegation it is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and religious leaders.
