The U.S. sees no military solution to the Karabakh conflict

The U.S. sees no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta told reporters on Wednesday.

“I am unaware of the statements made by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in an interview with Bloomberg. However, on this occasion, I would like to remind that the U.S. is a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, and Ambassador Warlick is dealing with this issue,” the ambassador said.

Cekuta recalled US Secretary of State John Kerry’s phone conversations with Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents.

“Mr. Kerry had phone conversations with Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents this week, urging the sides to respect the ceasefire and find a comprehensive solution to the conflict,” the ambassador added.
