The meeting between the three powers is part of a larger process regarding the Syrian settlement.

Political scientist Theodor Karasik told this to Axar.az during his comment on Jerusalem meeting.

“Iran is in the center of this process and what it will do next, has great importance for these three powers to coordinate or at least to discuss what happens next because there is a requirement.

Obviously what is being attempted is unprecedented but should be tried because otherwise it's just the same old story. Naysayers will look at this meeting and scoff or laugh but one need to step back a bit and think about larger trend lines and processes” - he added.
