Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has congratulated the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for its downing of an intruding US drone and detaining of a trespassing British tanker over the past months.

Axar.az reports citing Presstv that the message was conveyed by the Leader’s representative in the IRGC, Hojjatoleslam Abdollah Haji Sadeqi, who was visiting a strategic southern area known as Naze’at, which is comprised of four islands in the Persian Gulf.

Haji Sadeqi said he had been asked by the Leader to convey the following to the IRGC’s servicemen concerning the dual achievements upon visiting the area.

“Send regards and tell [them] ‘more power to your elbow. You accomplished a remarkable feat.’”
