After the Friday prayers on January 17, mass demonstrations were held in major Iranian cities, including Tehran.

Axar.az informs that, more than one million people took part in the marches in Tehran, Tabriz, Urmia, Yazd, Isfahan, Shiraz and other cities. The protesters defended the Islamic Revolution of Iran and offered their condolences to the families of those killed in the crash of a Ukrainian aircraft.

Participants chanting slogans against the US have said that Iran, despite all the pressure, will not bow to its enemies. The Iranian people will always defend the revolution and its leader.
