The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Iran continues to grow.

Axar.az reports that the number of people infected with the coronavirus rose to 24,811, and the death toll rose to 1934.

Iran's Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi said that scientists are working to develop a new vaccine against the virus in 12 research centers. According to him, Iranian scientists will join the research conducted by the World Health Organization with new proposals.

The Iranian president reiterated that US sanctions limit the ability to fight the virus.

General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran Mohammad Pakpour said that his country will begin defense exercises on biological weapons on March 25. During the maneuvers, disinfection will be carried out in major cities, including Tehran.
