Venezuelan general surrendered to the US

Retired Venezuelan Army General Cliver Alcala Cordones has surrendered to the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Axar.az reports this was stated by the Tiempo newspaper, citing its source.

"Alcala surrendered in Barranquilla and was flown to the United States on a DEA plane," the newspaper said.

Alcala has lived in Colombia for two years.
