An explosion in Nigeria: Hundreds of homes destroyed

A powerful explosion has occurred in the Nigerian city of Akura, Ondo State.

Axar.az reports this was stated by the Nigerian Daily Post.

The blast destroyed hundreds of homes. Witnesses said many people were killed and injured. The city's boarding school, church and gas station were completely destroyed.

Rescuers are working at the scene.
