US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that only a political solution will lead to stability and prosperity in Yemen.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US State Department spokesman Morgan Ortagus Pompeo during a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia`s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud.

"The United States is resolutely discussing Hussein's attempts to attack Saudi civilian targets. Pompeo added that he supported the efforts of UN Special Representative Martin Griffiths in this regard," Ortagus said.
