Forces affiliated with Marshal Khalifa Haftar suffered heavy casualties during an attack on the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

Axar.az informs this was reported by Yeni Akit.

At least 53 terrorists, including a high-ranking officer, were reportedly killed in the fighting that lasted for several days in the Al-Washka district, west of the city of Sirte.

Sixteen Haftar soldiers were killed in southern Tripoli and east of Rashfana. Libyan National Accord forces launched a ground offensive after militants targeted civilians.

Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the country bombed Haftar-affiliated soldiers and military vehicles from the air. Among the dead were Major General Ali Sidi and Commander Saber Al-Mutahar.
