The US suspends oil production in the Gulf of Mexico

The US Presidential Administration has discussed the possibility of suspending oil production in the Gulf of Mexico due to the spread of the coronavirus.

Axar.az reports this information was released by the Wall Street Journal, citing its sources.

According to the report, the issue of suspension of production in the Gulf of Mexico came to the fore after some workers on platforms in the Gulf became infected with the coronavirus.

The newspaper said that the cessation of production in the Gulf of Mexico will lead to a decrease in total US production by 2 million barrels.
