There are huge contradictions in the words and actions of the US government.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.

He said that the most important issue for us is the lifting of sanctions:

"We have made it clear to the world that sanctions are illegal and cruel. We have even called for an end to sanctions. If you do not stop the sanctions, at least do not prevent the delivery of aid to the country. We ask all countries not to listen to and obey the United States."

He stressed that Iran has never asked for help from the United States and will not.

"We do not trust any statements made by American officials. That's why we never ask them for help."
