The EU confessed: We did not support Italy

The European Union (EU) countries did not provide enough support to Italy to fight the new type of coronavirus at first.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from EU Crisis Commissioner Janz Lenercic at a press conference.

He said the EU had sent both nurses and doctors from Romania and Norway to Italy.

"Medical personnel will be based in Milan and Bergamo, which have been hit hardest by the pandemic. At first, the EU countries did not support Italy's appeal to fight the coronavirus. Now I want to say that Italy is not alone."
