The United States may emerge from the current economic crisis weakened and lose world leadership.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Pavel Zakharov, an expert at the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies.

According to him, the US government does not have the opportunity to cope with the current medical situation and economic challenges:

"Against this background, the role of the world hegemon may diminish, and China may become the winner. All measures taken by the United States will result in an increase in public debt. Anti-crisis programs will increase public debt to $ 27 trillion, which will account for 120% of GDP."
