More than 12,000 prisoners are being released

More than 12,000 prisoners in Afghanistan's prisons will be released to prevent the spread of a new strain of the coronavirus.

Axar.az informs that, the decision was made by President Ashraf Ghani.

According to the decision, 12,399 prisoners will be released. The release of prisoners will begin in early May.
