When does the second wave start? - WHO announced

The world is in the middle of the first wave of coronavirus.

Axar.az reports this was stated by the official of the World Health Organization (WHO) Mike Ryan. He warned that this wave could reach a second peak in the future:

"We have always seen a new wave of the disease begin a few months after the first wave of a gradual decline in infection. The first wave on a global scale is not over yet. But we must remember that the disease can jump at any moment. We can see a new peak in this wave. Other pandemics were similar. This was the case with the Spanish flu in 1919.”

Ryan also said that the probability of a more severe second wave, depending on the flu season, can be estimated during the year.
