There was a strong earthquake in Iran

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake shook the city of Khonj in Iran's Fars province.

Axar.az reports this was reported by the Seismological Center of Tehran University.

The quake was reported at a depth of 2 kilometres.

No casualties or damage were reported.
