Tensions in Syria: US and Russian troops face off

Tensions between US and Russian troops have risen in the Syrian town of Qamishli.

Axar.az informs this was reported by the Turkish media.

It is said that the Russian army wants to establish the first military base near the Turkish border. In this regard, a helicopter carrying Russian commanders landed at a school in the village of Qasr Dib near Qamishli.

It is alleged that the Russian school wants to turn it into a military base, which has housed 30 servicemen in 13 armored vehicles.

As the Russian convoy carrying military and logistics supplies moved toward the school, the U.S. military stopped them and sent them back.

It is said that Russian commanders and soldiers did not leave the school.

It should be noted that Qamishli settlement is under the control of YPG / PKK. US troops also operate here.
