The boat sank in Turkey: 6 dead, 50 missing

About 60 people are missing after a boat carrying refugees sank in the Turkish city of Van.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu. He said the boat sank in Lake Van:

"We assume that the sunken boat is 110-120 meters deep in the lake. Rescue work has begun. The bodies of 6 people have already been found and taken out of the water."

Soylu said 11 people were detained in connection with the incident.
