The United States has sent aircraft carriers near China

The United States has sent Ronald Reagan and Nimitz aircraft carriers to the South China Sea, where the Chinese Navy is currently training.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US Rear Admiral George Wykoff in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

He said the aircraft carriers had not been sent to China in response to the South China Sea. However, the Rear Admiral said Beijing's growing military confidence justified maintaining a US naval presence in the region.
