Open the border with Turkey to avoid famine - Ugulava

The Georgian government must open its borders with Turkey and allow people to work.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Gigi Ugulava, chairman of the European Georgian Party. According to him, people in western Georgia go to Turkey for seasonal work and support their families:

"The only source of income for a person from western Georgia is from Turkey. In three months, one of our citizens earns about 8000-10000 GEL, thus providing for his family throughout the year. We understand the epidemiological situation well and see what is happening in the world. Open the borders with Turkey before the famine in western Georgia" - he said.
