90 forest fires covering 300,000 hectares in Yakutia aggravate the situation in 6 regions.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the local office of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"During the day, 24 new fires occurred and the area of the fire increased by 319.5 hectares. The situation is very serious in Verkhoyansk, Zhigansk, Mirninsk, Srednekolimsk, Thompsonsk and Eveno-Bytantaysk districts. We plan to launch the aircraft of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Eveno-Bytantaysk region from today," the statement said.

It was noted that 897 personnel and 97 vehicles were involved in extinguishing the fire.
