Russia must respond to NATO - Medvedev

Russia has called on NATO to refrain from any action on the lines of contact during the pandemic. But the exercises continue, and Moscow must react to this, always keeping its weapons ready.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev.

"Like in any country, we have internal problems. But the external problem is enough. Look at what happened after the collapse of the USSR. In the 1990s, we sought to cooperate with NATO. We even negotiated for some time to join the North Atlantic bloc. But we were told that we are not needed there, we have our own priorities," Medvedev said.
