Armenian lobby does not stop: Aid to Karabakh

Democrat US Congressman Terrence John Cox has backed a plan to allocate funds to support a demining program in so-called Karabakh.

Axar.az reports that Cox made the remarks while addressing the US House Finance Committee.

"If this program is stopped, families will be forced to live under the threat of landmines indefinitely. Therefore, financial support is very important. "The issue of maintaining stability and peace in the Caucasus region should not be contradictory," he said.

Cox represents the Armenian-majority state of California. His father is originally from China and his mother is a migrant from the Philippines.
