Pope Francis is disappointed with Turkey's decision to turn Hagia Sophia into a mosque.
Axar.az reports that, the pope made the remarks in a traditional Sunday speech at St. Peter's Square in the Vatican.
"I think about Istanbul, about St. Sophia, and I am very disappointed," he said.
It should be noted that on July 10, the Turkish State Council annulled the 1934 decision to turn Hagia Sophia into a museum. Immediately afterwards, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree to make it a mosque.
