The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is concerned about the humanitarian consequences of the intensified and reported military operations along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border since 12 July.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the ICRC.

It was noted that military activity poses additional risks to the civilian population living in these areas and affects their access to livelihoods.

The ICRC shares its concerns with the parties to the conflict on a bilateral basis and recalls its commitment to always distinguish civilians from those directly involved in hostilities.
