Macron's fear: Turkey becomes the leader in the region

The European Union (EU) must urgently define its policy on the Mediterranean.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from French President Emmanuel Macron.

Pointing to Turkey and Russia, the French leader stressed the importance of the region's leadership not falling into the hands of other countries.

"It is extremely important for Europe to address geopolitical issues in the White Sea and determine its own destiny without leaving it to other forces."
