The EU welcomes the decree on simplification of visa procedures and creation of ASAN Viza system signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, said Malena Mard, head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, told reporters.

Mard noted that this decree is of great importance.

She added that this decree will boost the flow of tourists from the EU countries to Azerbaijan.

“As you know Azerbaijan and the EU countries have recently held a business forum. One of the issues discussed in the forum was the simplification of visa procedures. I think that from this point of view, the ASAN Viza system will be very successful,” she said.
