Metsamor is protected by Russia - Yerevan

The Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant is under the protection of modern air defence systems of Armenia and Russia.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from the head of the Permanent Mission of Armenia to international organizations in Vienna Armen Papikyan.

"We have the necessary systems to protect the Metsamor nuclear power plant from possible attacks. Of course, not all details can be disclosed due to security issues. It is not easy to hit the nuclear power plant," he said.
