A bomb blast near the Lebanese capital, Beirut, has killed at least 100 people.

The number of injured is more than 4,000.

A bomb blast near the northern city of Beirut has killed at least 113 people.

The statement came from Lebanon's Health Minister.

At least 135 people have been killed in the explosion in Beirut, Al Jazeera TV channel said on Wednesday citing Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

According to the channel, the number of those injured rose to about 5,000. Dozens are reported missing.
