The US submitted a project to the UN: an embargo on Iran

We will submit a draft resolution to the UN Security Council next week to extend the arms embargo against Iran.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

"The mission of the UN Security Council is to maintain international peace and security. If the council allows the number one terrorist supporter to buy and sell weapons, it will lead to negative perceptions of the organization. One way or another we will do the right thing. We will be sure that the arms embargo will be extended," the Secretary of State said.
