The US is building its largest base in Syria

The United States is building a large military base in northeastern Syria, including an airport.

Axar.az reports that the base in Shaddadi settlement of Hasaka is nearing completion.

"This will be the largest US military base in Syria. In this context, the United States will be able to control a large area, including Hasaka and Deir Ez-Zur. This includes oil fields in the region. Compared to 2019, the number of US troops at the Shaddadi base has more than doubled," the statement said.
