Pompeo called Lavrov: A rewarding Taliban

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation.

Axar.az reports this information was spread by the New York Times.

In a telephone conversation, Pompeo reportedly demanded that Moscow stop rewarding the Taliban for killing American soldiers.

The newspaper said that the telephone conversation between the parties took place on July 13.
