Sargsyan's Godson was also arrested

A Yerevan court has granted a motion to arrest Levon Sargsyan, a former member of the Armenian parliament.

Axar.az reports that The statement came from Adviser to the Prosecutor General of Armenia Gor Abramyan, Axar.az reports.

Levon Sargsyan, detained in the Russian city of Zelenograd on August 6, was extradited to Armenia by Russian law enforcement agencies.

Sargsyan was one of the participants in the attack on the residence of the former head of the Armenian Customs Service Armen Avetisyan 11 years ago.

Levon Sargsyan was elected a deputy from the Republican Party. He is the godfather of former President Serzh Sargsyan.
